sunset provision

ok, so no one liked the doodles. that's fine, i wasn't too hot about them either. that's not the point of doodles anyway. it's the doing that is important. it is the satori of the moment that is important, when the doodle and doodler have become one, less than one, nothing, and yet not nothing. being and non-being create each other. doodle and doodler define each other. all is one; all is none.

*ahem* anyway...

so there were two birthdays to celebrate tonight, my grandfather and my brother. and by 'celebrate', i mean going out to dinner with the family, which was nice. the not-so-nice part lay in the hour plus wait we had to endure to seat our party of 9. in the meantime, i waited as patiently as i could, and went outside to snap a few pictures of the cool sunset we had today... i love looking at the sky!

i really need to visit some other countries. yes, the USofA certainly has a lot to see, but i need some foreign flavor. to that end, here's a short list off the top of my head:

  • new zealand
  • australia
  • china
  • japan
  • brazil
  • ireland
  • india
  • switzerland
  • all the rest of europe, while i'm at it
  • egypt
  • south africa
  • kenya
  • antarctica

that's all i can think of for starters... so if i didn't mention your wonderful country/nation/state/locale, don't be offended... i'll get to it soon! better yet, drop me a line (so at least i know i get some foreign visitors) and tell me why i should visit your neck of the woods/savanna/mountains/steppe/rainforest/desert/tundra/etc.

of course, this supposes that anyone from outside the US even visits this page... is there anyone?
