let us not confuse the real issue at stake here. those who identify themselves as "pro-life" are not in fact really so. they are, in fact, ANTI-CHOICE. further, the pro-choice movement is just that: pro-choice. it is not, as often reported in the media, 'pro-abortion' necessarily. abortion is a red-herring. don't let them fool you. the real issue is rights and options, two things that so-called "pro-lifers" wish to deny mothers. who is anyone else to tell a woman what she can and cannot, should and should not do with her own body? it is not a question of values, religious or otherwise, or even of condoning certain behaviors. it is a question of egalitarian treatment of 50% of the population, offering the same due respect, deference, and options (choices) available to those of the male persuasion.
