my favorite week of spring

the lilacs are blooming.
is there anything quite so sweet smelling?
i think not.

i am back in pittsburgh now, after having to come home through icky sleet and snow through somerset county.
wtf? excuse me, but may is just around the corner, so let's get with the program here.
actually, i suppose it's just further evidence that weather patterns are getting increasingly weird due to climate change effects.

but as long as lilacs continue to bloom for a couple of weeks a year (even if i have to someday wait until july or october), i will be happy.
