lessons learned

it was all just a house of cards.
one bad gust of wind, and it came tumbling down.
all the cards are deuces, and neither of us seems to want to play very much.
i see why it was such a fragile thing, when we thought it was so strong.
i understand why the house of cards tumbled, though didn't like the tumbling itself, but i'm glad that now we know it was ephemeral.
knowing is half the battle.
i want to know all i can and at the same time, nothing at all. i care way too much, and not at all.
apathy truly is the opposite of love.
