and now for something completely different

i don't have any really good photos that i want to post, and i'm lacking in the word department today, so here's something else.

these are all photoshop doodles. the above image was done with just the traditional painting tools (airbrush, paintbrush, smear), but the others on this page are what i refer to as "filter art". they're done using complex applications of the photoshop filters, and little else.

you've seen what light i gather with a lens, now here's what light i see from inside my noggin...

they're just eye-candy, and not necessarily any good. but doodles are like that... they just doodle themselves out onto some medium, whether it's a photoshop document, a junk mail envelope, or the sand at the beach. i don't think they are just what they appear to be. rather, they are also a picture of the paths in my brain, inherent in the colour choices i make, and the filters/tools i use.

i'm just trying to justify why you've stuck around this long to see all the way to the bottom of the page. see? aren't they worth a look-see?
