when autumn falls

september is over, a whole month of convalescence and reflection, gone.
october is here, a month of changing leaves, colours galore, and ever-decreasing temperatures.
the sun skates southward,
and night swallows day.
soon there will be snow,
and freezing winds and ice.
what changes will the weather bring?

but today is sunny and not-too-chilly
so here's to enjoying the sun!
