even a rainy day can end with sunshine

despite several periods of drizzly rain and grey clouds most of the day, the weather cleared just enough to show another beautiful sunset. orangey reds gave way to raspberry and peach clouds, as the sun faded again from view behind another band of brooding clouds. the light can now be best described as bluish grey clouds, streaked and mottled with the barest rouge. the sky is blushing, it seems. fat drops of rain cling tenaciously to branches and twigs, quivering in the breeze. each bud of water, mingling with the buds of new leaves, refracts a tiny sliver of warm/cold light from above.

today was a good day.
