because you might care

things i've done in the past hour:

  • ate the last of my pistachios!

  • wished i had more pistachios!

  • restarted my computer

  • cropped a bunch of digital photos

  • made a list of random songs from winamp (see below)

  • talked to a fellow 'gift from god'

  • restarted again

  • considered waiting to update this until tomorrow

  • ate some of my chocolate toad

  • reconsidered

SO... anyway...pictures:

i was in McConnell's Mill State Park briefly today to capture these images. a friend and i walked back to Hell's Hollow through the slushy ice/snow, where he proceeded to shed his footwear and go wading. he seemed to enjoy this immensely, though i could not be persuaded to risk my tender tootsies. once my feet are cold, they tend to stay that way until soaked in hot water, a shower, plenty of blankets wrapped around them, or summer. so i was not about to risk cold feet for the rest of the evening. i'd post some of his crazy wadings, but i didn't ask him if i could put his picture online.

well, that's it for now. it's super late, i'm tired, and i have lots of other things i need to do tomorrow...

one last thing, another random 10 from winamp:

  1. sonny rollins - solitude

  2. utah phillips - moose turd pie

  3. grateful dead and phish - ripple (live)

  4. iron butterfly - inagaddadavida

  5. penguin cafe orchestra - music for a found harmonium

  6. mouse on mars - diskdusk

  7. lx paterson - live @ smartbar '99, part 10

  8. u.n.k.l.e. - garage piano

  9. missy elliot - work it

  10. led zeppelin - kashmir (preferred volume = high)

huh. winamp is still missing some very large sections of other artists that it seems to get every other time i'm flipping through the master playlist of 2000 mp3z... oh well. so much for "true randomness"

.
